Pusat Asasi, or Centre of Foundation Studies CFS , was set up in November with the objective of providing a solid foundation for students to continue their degree programmes in UiTM and other institutions of higher learning both locally and internationally. All these are full-time preparatory programmes specifically tailored for the bachelor degree in Science, Engineering, Law and TESL, respectively. The duration of each programme is two semesters, with a total of 50 credit hours, to enable students acquire the knowledge, values, skills and competencies necessitated for their tertiary education. The Centre also emphasises on the importance of keeping updated on current local and global issues, linguistic enhancement, and attainment of wide-ranging computer skills, critical thinking, and creative skills. Besides academic activities, students are also involved in various clubs that are aimed to produce all-rounded individuals.

Difference Between Creative Thinking and Critical Thinking

In the Australian Curriculum, students develop capability in critical and creative thinking as they learn to generate and evaluate knowledge, clarify concepts and ideas, seek possibilities, consider alternatives and solve problems.
